Disney World!

We took Iris on her first trip to Disney World. I'm not sure if we had more fun or if she did but I can't wait to go back next year. I took so many pictures I could not post them all to this blog. I picked out about 20 and uploaded them to Flickr. You'll find a link to those on the side of the page. Here she is on her very first ride, Peter Pan.She walked everywhere and waited patiently in line---well, most of the time anyway. Of course we had to buy her Minnie Mouse ears.... We also went to the Animal Kingdom. She walked straight up to this sheep, patted it on the head and said "puppy." That seems to be her name for EVERY animal from a fish to a giraffe and sometimes she still pats daddy on the head and says "puppy."

14 MONTHS!!!

She turned 14 months on September 25th. I printed out 4 "14month" signs to take with us for her monthly photo. However, in usual Kim Style I left all 4 copies on the printer. So anyway we went to Blizzard Beach on the 25th and so the below will have to do as her 14 Month picture.

First Day of School

Iris started Toddler Time classes at St. Michael's church on Monday and Wednesday mornings. She is suppose to stay 3 hours. However, the teacher has called me almost every day after an hour and a half because Iris is being fussy and rubbing her eyes and crying. I put her in this class so I could have a little bit of free time. So far though I've been driving downtown at 8:30 in the morning and by the time I get back home and start something I get a call and have to go pick her up. My plan has kind of backfired and so far it's taking up more of my time. Hopefully she'll get adjusted and though and it will get better...HOPEFULLY!!!

Hoosier Daddy

This is not the best picture but thought I'd let everyone know that Brad finally decided to name his boat....."Hoosier Daddy"

A morning with Iris

Iris can be quite busy in the mornings. This is an example of all the things she gets herself into in one morning. First, we start off by getting stuck under the side table although we have been told numerous times "no" when we go under there....Then we go into mommy and daddy's bedroom and empty out our diaper changing basket and decide to put ourself in it.... Then we go back to the living room, empty all of our toys out of the basket and stand in it.....
and finally, we go into daddy's closet and put ourself into his gym bag in hopes that he'll take me with him. After this morning Mommy would have been more than happy for me to go to work with daddy.

Trouble

Iris' latest obsession is climbing "into" things. I found her in my luggage while packing for a trip t0 the mountain house.... She then attempted to climb into the dishwasher....
Yes, I admit this picture was staged. I put her in the hamper myself because she was trying to knock it over to get in. She sat in there for a while and played and laughed....
She also likes to climb the stairs. Thanks goodness for gates! However, since she can't get through the gate, she just uses the first step as a boost to reach the doorknob and try and open it.
