Iris: 22 Months

Iris at 22 months. She is such a ham but still refuses to hold her sign for me. She is doing great adjustng to being a big sister. Every day she points at Isabella and loudly excalims "It's a baby" as if she's seeing her for the first time. She likes to give Isabella her paci and she likes to point out her hair, fingers, toes etc. She has also started giving Isabella kisses. She leans over and "kisses" her but doesn't quite touch her lips to Isabella, she's still a little hesitant. It's very sweet though. Every now and then she will touch Isabella and say "tickle tickle." We don't know where she got this, I'm thinking Elmo off of Sesame Street but we're not sure. She still loves her accessories, especially hats and shoes... She's also become quite the little goofball and loves to do anything to make you laugh...

Isabella is 1 Month!

Isabella is one month! I don't know her exact weight today but a week ago at the Dr.'s office she weighed 7 lbs. 11oz so she is steadily gaining weight. I tried to recreate the exact scene as I did for Iris' 1 month picture so I could do a comparison. I don't think I realized just how bald Iris was. Isabella has a full head of hair and I swear it's growing.

She has started smiling and it is just the cutest thing!

Little Gym Graduation

Iris graduated from The Little Gym on Friday. It was the cutest thing. Each child got to stand on the podium and receive their medal...

Strawberry Picking!

We went Strawberry picking on Wednesday. The berries weren't that big this time. I think we were a little bit late but they were still very good and we had lots of fun. Iris did a good job picking berries...

Isabella came along for the ride but mostly sat in the car while my mom watched her. I couldn't resist getting her out for some photos though.

Mother's Day

On Mother's day we took the whole family to James Island County park. It was one of our first family outings. I really wanted to get some cute pictures of Iris playing in the Splash and Play fountain. After getting her in her swim diaper, swim suit, swim shoes etc. we took her to the fountain with our camera in hand. Unfortunately she was terrified and would not let go of her daddy's leg... not even for a second...

Eventually I was able to pry her off for one quick photo with mom on Mother's Day...

It was not the most successful day but it was still nice to just hang out and spend time as a new family of four!

21 Months!

Iris is 21 Months and is a Big Sister!!

She has not shown a lot of interest in Isabella so far but she loves the balloons and all the new baby accessories. She has a particular fondness for the moses basket.
