January was a slow month for us. I was worn out from the holiday hustle and bustle and both girls had colds and/or ear infections all month. We mainly stayed indoors and did some crafts to keep busy and watched a lot of Team Umizoomi (their new favorite show). I did not take many pictures this month but I did get some good ones of our car painting. I stole this idea from my friend Jane Ellen. You just put some paint on a plate and use cars instead of paint brushes. You'd think a house with two little girls would not have any cars but we found plenty.

The green, blue and yellow painting on the right was from an earlier art day when we did "marble art." They both loved that and we will definitely be doing it again. Next time I'll remember to take pictures--hopefully!

We'll have to save this idea and do it again this spring. I'm thinking outside on the back porch would be a nice place to do this!
