Trick or Treat

As if all of the "pre" Halloween festivities were not enough---then came the big day, Halloween!! We went to the Sanders house for Trick or Treating. It started off slow but quickly became chaotic with kids running in all different directions. I did not take many pictures but here are a few...
Iris walked to a few houses but she was slowing down the pace so we stuck her back in the wagon and gave her a "pop."
She didn't mind a bit!
After just a few streets Iris said she was tired and cold and wanted to go home---no complaints here! It was getting cold and we had about had it as well. We bundled everyone up and headed back to the car.
Even with all that sugar I think everyone will sleep good tonight!

Pre- Halloween Parties

The Kirchner's invited us to a Pre-Halloween party and then to their church for "Trunk Or Treat." Clara and Iris were quick to stand in line to have their face painted...
Spooky Spider web...
The band was really great and encouraged all the kids to join them in playing instruments. The girls did a good job sharing the drums...
Then they found even more instruments to play.... After that it was off to Trunk Or Treat! I just love this picture of daddy walking with his little piglet... Clara and Iris knew just what to do and took off to each trunk for candy... Isabella was not quite as experienced and stopped after each trunk to inspect her candy. She also seemed to enjoy this little flock of sheep she found.... Too many camera's --- not sure which one they are supposed to be looking at....

Iris' Halloween Party

Iris' Halloween party was on Thursday. I wasn't sure if this witch costume was going to make it until then. She had been wearing it everyday for a week. She called herself a "princess witch kitty cat" and made sure to tell everyone she was a "nice" witch and not a "scary" witch. The kitty cat is because at home she would wear a cat tail with her costume. I was able to convince her not to wear the tail to school though. Thank goodness!
It turns out Iris was also the "helper" of the day so she got to hold the flag while they said the Pledge of Allegiance.
She also helped Ms. Tanner show all the things that start with a "p." I forget what she was holding here. It was small. Being bashful... Then it was off to the Halloween Carnival. Feeding the elephant to watch a prize come out of his trunk is always the favorite game!
Golf proved to be a bit more challenging... Iris and "Daphne" quickly gave up on the whole "play a game for a prize" concept and went straight to the treasure box themselves...
Iris with her teacher's assistant, Ms. Tanner.
Then it was back to the classroom for some treats....
Happy Halloween!

Toddler Time Parade

Isabella's "All God's Creature's" parade was on Tuesday. I was going with a Little Bo Peep (Iris) and her sheep (Isabella) costume theme this year but that did not work out. The costumes never came off backorder so we had to make alternative arrangements. Clara let Isabella borrow her Piggy costume. It is adorable!
The "parade." It was quite staggered as you could imagine. Keeping a bunch of 1 year olds in a line does not work.
Oink, Oink!
This is her first piece of "artwork." At the bottom it says "bat wings by Isabella." Aahh, it just warms by heart, so sweet!

Spooky Summerville

Mom and I took the girls through the little park in Summerville to see the town's decorations..."Roar!" You're not really suppose to touch the displays but Iris decided she needed a rest...
Isabella didn't exactly follow the rules either....
Ok, I'll admit. I told Iris to walk through this one and stand in front of Snoopy's house....

I just love these photo displays. I can never pass up one!

Pumpkin Carving

After Legare Farms daddy carved a pumpkin for the girls while they decorated their little ones. Iris insisted on getting dressed up for the occassion. Here's a preview of her costume.
Their "decorated" pumpkins and one of the juice box mummies I made for the girls...
The finished Pumpkin! Ours is always a friendly Jack-O-Lantern...
Happy Halloween!

Legare Farms Pumpkin Picking

Last weekend mom and I took the girls to Legare Farms to pick pumpkins. They had lots of other stuff to do out there as well. We got "lost" in the miniature hay maze. This is a dead end and Iris is trying to get Isabella to turn around and follow her out. Isabella does not like to be pulled on though. Can you tell by that look?
Still mad about being pulled on...Isabella can give some looks.
Another silly look. This had the potential to be a really great picture. It was a perfect background but getting these two to smile at the same time is truly impossible.
They each got to pick out a pumpkin...
Then it was off to feed the goats. Iris didn't like getting goat slobber all over her hands, I didn't either!
Isabella didn't feed them but she sure thought they were funny!
After visiting with the farm animals we went on a hayride. A tractor pulls a big trailer of people and they drive you out to the cow field. When you get there all the cows come running over to the tractor. Then you are suppose to hand feed them these big pellets that are "cow treats." Goat slobber is nothing compared to cow slobber. It's truly gross!
Iris was a little scared of the cows, she would either take the cow treat away or drop it every time a cow came near her...
Isabella had a moment of bravery but no cow treat...
The girls are scared in this picture because the cows were getting a little too close...
By close I mean this...

This big guy licked my camera!

Isabella 18 months

Isabella is 18 months old and I did not forget to take her picture!  Yes, she is in her pajamas so it was close but I did remember before I put her to bed and that's an improvement.

Some of her new phrases are:
 "I wuv ew"  - I love you
"here go mommy" - she hands me random things all day
"hug, hug" - she wraps her arms around her when she says it--too cute!
"Wat dat Mommy"

She will pretty much repeat anything you say to her now.  Those are just a few of my favorites.  I should have bought her a Tinkerbell costume for Halloween this year.  She loves to "Tinker" with things and she's still teeny tiny.  Her current favorite toy is a calculator.  If she could take it apart she would.

Her 18 month stats are as follows:
Weight:  20 lbs., 3rd percentile
Height:   31 in., 29% percentile
Head Circumference:  18.3in., 48th percentile

Happy 18 Month Birthday Isabella!

Princess Birthday Party

If these pictures look familiar I promise I didn't just repost them.  After we did the Princess carriage ride with my sister and Avery we were invited to a friends birthday party at Princess of Tides. All of the princesses were beautiful.  The birthday girl is EvanMarie dressed as Cinderella with the big blue bow in the middle.

Each princess got to make their own lip balm and sugar srcub.  This is Iris with her sugar scrub before she dumped a ton of sprinkles in it.  We haven't used these yet but they sure do smell yummy!

After making our bath products the girls took a carriage ride.  This time I actually got a picture of the whole carriage.  Don't worry, Iris did not ride on the end like that.  She sat between two adults in the middle.  I tried to get her to wear a different princess dress so at least our pictures would look different but she refused.  This is her favorite and the one she wears everyday.  No, that is not an exaggeration. She truly wears this dress--everyday!!!
After the carriage ride we went across the street to Cupcake for some delicious cupcakes.  It was a super cute birthday party, perfect for little princesses!
