Hello Kitty Toast
I received a box on our porch this week. It was addressed to the girls so I let Iris open it. She pulled out this Hello Kitty toaster. I was letting her take it to her "play kitchen" until I saw the cord attached to it and realized it was real! That was just surprise #1. Here she is waiting on her toast....
Surprise #2 was that it makes a "Hello Kitty" toasted image on the bread. Too Cute! She loves it. We have now put the regular toaster away and we are all eating "Hello Kitty" toast.
Thank you Phil & Sylvia!

Summer In Review
I am so behind in posting on the blog. The thought of sitting down and getting everything caught up is over overwhelming. Therefore, I decided to just do a "Summer In Review" post and then try to start fresh this fall. Here's a look at what we've been up to this summer:
Super Iris
Iris wearing her "Super Iris" cape so she can be "super strong" and pick up a watermelon. Honestly, she saw the watermelon on the kitchen floor and said, "I have to get my superhero cape so I can be super strong and pick it up."
Dress Up
Dress up at Nana's house....
The Beach
A day at Seabrook with Clara...
Followed by another evening at Kiawah at a Music on the Green concert. You can always find one of my girls planted on Lenna's lap...
More Dress Up
(notice a pattern here?)
Note that Isabella has been practicing her climbing skills as well. This is her preferred spot to watch Dora, or as she calls her, "Do-da."
Haircuts
Back to school haircuts. Isabella has had her bangs trimmed a little but this was her first "real haircut.
This morning I had planned to take the girls to the Water Fountain at the park to splash around
and play before it closed for the season. My morning did not start off well. Isabella was very upset about wearing her bathing suit cover up and got it stuck on her head while trying to take it off.
I fixed it but she was still not happy about wearing it. This was only the beginning of the tears though. Once I got to the park I saw that the fountain was not on. I politely asked the workers what time it opened at they said 12:00pm ( although their website says 10:00am!!). As we drove away from the fountain Iris started screaming. Isabella joined in, it was a mess!
I went back to the house and grabbed two lollipops to stop the crying. Then I pulled out the beach ball sprinkler and a Slip N Slide that I had bought at an end of season sale and had planned to save for next summer--oh well, this was an emergency! I threw everything in the car and headed to moms house ( by this time my misery needed company). From there our morning got better...
Sorry Isabella. I was too pooped out to bother with your bathing suit. You didn't seem to care though...
Iris didn't really understand the Slip-N-Slide. She kind of scooted her way down it...
The End!
It was a great summer. That's one reason why I got so behind in posting on the blog. I was having so much fun just spending time with the girls. We did a lot more but I often did not take pictures. I either couldn't because they were running in different directions or I just decided to enjoy the moment. Now that are lives are a little more structured I will try to keep up and post regularly.
