September In Review

Yes, I already failed on my commitment to keep my blog updated starting at the beginning of September. Oh well, on a positive note, I am sticking to my goal of exercising regularly! Here are some pix of what we have been up to in September....

Being silly and getting into trouble at Nana's....

Making "Bird Nests."  I was wondering why I had 20 quiet minutes to play on Pinterest this morning.  When I went to check on them they were sitting on top of their freshly built "bird nest" flapping their arms.  Uugghh!!!!
Making homemade pizzas....
Working on school projects.  This is Isabella's "All About Me" square...
and Iris has been coming home with the CUTEST projects from her Science Seekers class.  She is literally squealing with excitement when I pick her up from science seekers...
Isabella has been painting pictures...(and herself)
and learning how to use her cuteness to get what she wants. This is her looking at me at the dinner table whispering "mommy, can I have a box of nerds?"  Like I could resist that face!!

"Camping"

Earlier this month we took the girls to Gatlinburg for their first "car show."  Mom and dad were taking their new RV so we thought we'd take our little camper and join them.  I use the term "camping" loosely here because we barely spent any time at the campground.  We did not decorate or put much effort into our campsite but here it is anyway. Yes, it's raining!

The first day it was 90+ degrees and then the next day it rained.  I promised the girls we'd make smores but that wasn't happening in the rain so we had to improvise. Luckily mom and dad had a microwave in their set-up just a few feet away.

Iris didn't even notice the absence of a campfire...
Isabella lounging in the front seat with my I-Pad.  Not exactly what I'd call "roughing it."
Luckily the first day was nice though.  We took the girls to a little amusement park area for them to ride some rides.  They had a blast!

This airplane did actually go up in the air.  I just couldn't get a good picture once it did.  Waiting for take-off...
Swings...

No I did not take any pictures of cars from the car show. Sorry, I've seen more than enough old cars in my life!  The girls enjoyed being pulled around in a wagon at the car show too.  For a week after they would pack their little matchbox cars in their purses and tell me they were going to a car show.  It was pretty cute!
