Iris' First Halloween!

Iris' Grandad worked on carving her a beautiful pumpkin while Brad and I could not decide what we wanted Iris to be for Halloween. Brad wanted Iris to be in a "funny" costume....

Then we got invited to a Halloween Party at the country club and I was not going to have my daughter go to the party dressed as a whoopie cushion! I don't think she would ever forgive us for that! I thought about just taking her in her Halloween onesie and "boo" socks.....

But we decided on an Angel.....

The party was a bit chaotic with all of the kids crawling around but it was so much fun to see them all dressed up. Below is my friend Courtney with her son, Hugh, and their newest addition, Julian, is in the stroller. He was an adorable little pumpkin. Lenna's daughter, Clara, was the cutest mouse I have ever seen!

Pumpkin Patch

Brad's parents and Nana came down for Halloween weekend and Iris' Baptism. His mom and I ran to the pumpkin patch on Halloween and were able to snap a few pictures...

Three months old!

Iris turned 3 months on Oct 25th. We spent the weekend at the mtn. house with my parents where we tried to do a photo shoot with Iris. It was quite funny. Here are some photos from the shoot and the weekend....
Iris ate her dress during most of the pictures.....
Daddy trying to be quick and get a pix before she starts munching on her dress again....
"Farmer" Iris riding an elephant...???
Yeah!!! I'm 3 months old today...she really was happy, just a little tired from all the pictures.
Farmer Iris with Papa....
Iris in her PJ's with Nana....

Busy Sunday.....

Sunday was a busy day. We all went to church and then came home and watched the Colts game. Iris got dressed for the occasion again.....
After the game, we all went to our friends Jim and Courtney's to welcome their new baby, Julian. He is super cute! Courtney and I traded babies for a bit. Julian is so sweet and Hugh is going to be a great big brother! Iris is certainly lucky to have so many Buxton boys to grow up with.

Iris' First Oyster Roast

On Saturday we went to an Oyster Roast given by a member of Brad's car club. It was here on Johns Island and a bit rainy but the weather held out for the evening. We decided just to take Iris. It was the first time I used a baby sling (thank you Lenna for letting me borrow it) but it worked great. Iris just slept most of the evening. And no, it is not easy to shuck oysters while wearing a baby!

Visiting with the Tabers

My friend Rachel Taber and her children, Tyler and Sophia, stopped by for a visit on Thursday. Trying to get everyone together for a picture was quite challenging. This is the best one I could manage. Rachel makes beautiful bibs and burp cloths. Above is a bib that she made for Iris. Rachel, I think Iris is going to have to grow into this one!

My first fish!

Iris caught her first fish today! Daddy had to bait the hook, put it in the water, wait for the bite, reel it in, and get the fish off the hook but we're still giving Iris credit for it.
