Trip to Tryon, Part II

Just some more pix of the kids lounging around in Tryon. 

 

We tried VERY hard to get a group picture but noone would cooperate.

We also had  a little birthday celebration for  the kids.  We all miss each other's birthday's so we decided to just have one big party!  The kids loved it and they all spit on, oh, I mean "blew out" the candles on the cake.

Next they opened their"birthday" presents...

and then we failed at another attempt for a "group photo."

Trip to Tryon

My friend Jeanette was in town from Holland with her daughter, Helen.  Last weekend we took the girls up to Tryon to stay at mom and dad's house.  There's nothing like a 4 hour road trip with a 1 year old, a 2 year old, and a 3 year old....

 

 

 

They all did amazingly well.  Even Helen, who has never been in a car that long in her whole life (they bike most places in Holland)!

We took the kids to the BBQ festival for the day.  They had a blast!  Mucho Prego Misti held down the fort (and the kids) while the rest of us went in search of food and beverages.

and so did her Mommy, the "Queen of Corn."  Seriously Jeanette, anyone who gets this excited about corn on the cob while standing in a field in a 100+ heat really needs to move back home!!!

It was a REALLY great day.  I'm looking forward to Jeanette's next visit and more BBQ already!

Indiana

 

 

We went to Indiana in May for Kaitlyn's graduation.  She starts at Purdue in the Fall.  It was a very busy and quick trip so I did not get many pictures.  These are a few I took outside at Kaitltn's Open House.
