Isabella's 2nd Birthday!

Instead of a party, we took the family to Atlanta for Isabella's birthday weekend!  We went to the Aquarium and The World of Coca-Cola.  The aquarium was amazing--- but overwhelming!  I didn't take many pictures inside because it was packed and we were doing our best just not to loose the girls.  Here they are posing with a dolphin outside.

We celebrated her birthday back at the hotel with a strawberry filled birthday cake to go with her Strawberry Shortcake "decor."
 Happy 2nd birthday Isabella!
After cake we opened a few gifts...
of course Iris got a doll to color on too!
A carriage ride through downtown Atlanta after dinner....
The next day we went to the World of Coca-Cola.  It was a really neat place...
We saw lots of coke "nostalgia" but everyone's favorite part was the tasting room.  Notice the bottles on the conveyor on the ceiling...
In the tasting room they have  "stations" all over the room with all you could drink coke made beverages from around the world. Some flavors were pretty funky.  The girls just loved that they could drink all the soda they wanted--something they DO NOT get at home!
 Mmmm!!
Iris giving this one a thumbs up! (Not sure what's going on with their hair today??)

Isabella's First Dentist Appointment!

Isabella had her first Dentist appointment today.  She looked so small in the big chair.

Checking things out...

She was a little distracted by Iris crawling all over her chair, but other than that she did great!  So glad both my girls like the dentist---at least so far!

Great Job Isabella!

Easter Sunday

Look who's been here--the Easter Bunny!

Isabella is obsessed with  Russian Matryoshka dolls. We had a small one that she would assemble and dis-assemeble for hours.  The Easter Bunny brought each of the girls new and bigger dolls.  She played with this all morning...
Later in the afternoon we hosted our family dinner and then the annual egg hunt. As usual, Isabella found a few and then just sat down to eat the contents.
Avery was more than happy to hunt for Isabella's share...
Ashton and Logan in a mad dash to find the "Golden Egg"....

Super Sweety!!!
Taking a break with Nana and Papa...
Last but not least, the Annual Grandchildren Photo...
Happy Easter!!!

Middleton Place easter Egg Hunt

We spent Saturday morning at Middleton Place for their annual Easter Egg Hunt.  We were very excited to see their new baby lambs.  These little guys were born earlier this week.  They were too cute!

 Momma..
 Cheesy pose for daddy...
Middleton is a really great place to visit.  They have random animals roaming everywhere.  Here come the goats...
After visiting the farm animals we found the Easter Bunny.  Iris was SUPER excited to get her picture taken with him...
Isabella--not so much.  I had to jump in with her...
After visiting with the bunny it was time for The Hunt.  They "hid" real eggs.  I couldn't believe it!  Our kids were a little rough with them.  Only a few made it home intact..
 Zoning out....
 More random animals--turtles...
and baby alligators.  these little guys were everywhere and pretty close to where we hunted eggs.  Kinda creepy!
Trying desperately to get a good pose out of them...
I so wanted a good picture of them on this bench.  The setting and background were beautiful.  All I got were cheesy smiles...
and squinted eyes.  Oh well.  They still look pretty cute though!
After the hunt we went to the stables and dyed our eggs in "natural" dyes,
 made crafts (Iris' sheep egg),
and visited with the plantation "workers."  Iris talked to these two about pottery forever.  They would show her a piece with faces drawn on it and ask her what "expression" they were making.  She did pretty good identifying each one as happy, sad, surprised etc.
After all that we had  a picnic lunch with our neighbors and the girls enjoyed playing with their son, Will.  Goofing off in the grass...
These three must have played Ring Around the Rosie a hundred times!

 So Sweet!

Toddler Time Easter Hunt

Isabella Had her Toddler Time Easter Egg Hunt today. Her class made these sweet little Bunny Buckets...

She loves the slide. This is where she runs every time I drop her off.
She did a great job finding eggs... She did a great job finding eggs...
and loved showing me each one.
The only problem was that she immediately wanted to eat the snacks inside...
"Cheese!"
